Our newest crowdfunding feature, GroupFund, will aid in your next R&D project; we have great deals on pocket-sized PCB rulers, FPGA wizardry, and the PureThermal Breakout Board; and the addition of the DJI Drone and FLIR drone cameras to the store will make your summer vacation, cooler!
(Well, not colder - but cooler )
Get the Tech out of the Lab: Use GroupFund for your Next Venture
GroupFund was created to allow developers of all kinds and conservation technology ninjas to raise funds for development and physical deployments. Created out of the necessity to evolve and assist due to the chip shortage dramatically reducing our community's ability to build hardware, as well as our own, GroupFund opens an exciting new chapter for our platform and removes the constraint of having to ship physical hardware to backers. Use GroupFund to update open software, firmware and hardware. Use GroupFund to deploy and retrieve your AudioMoths (or whatever) for your badass conservation research. Help us raise a middle finger to the chip supply shortage and use GroupFund to design and build your own.
Funding to pay for an engineering team to work on the PyFive libre silicon project
In 2019, Google sponsored a free ASIC multi-project wafer (MPW) shuttle program in collaboration with eFabless and the SkyWater foundry. Not only did they provide an unprecedented open source PDK for the 130nm process node, but also allowed teams to submit open source ASIC designs to a series of shuttles free of charge. Unfortunately, the MPW-1 had some hold time violations rendering the ASICs "dead on arrival" when delivered. The PyFive team in a ditch effort created a post mortem carrier design which allowed some signs of life to be extracted from the MPW-1 chips. The team has since found trouble finding the time to contribute due to the extremely busy schedules of the contributing team members. Though the PDK, tools, and shuttle are free, the engineering is not. As the major PyFive contributors are independent contractors, hours logged toward the project are cutting into their billable time.
Funding will help support the develop of the various IP components. Corporate sponsorship with prominent logo placement also available.
ICE-V Wireless by Qwerty Embedded is an ICE40UP5K+ESP32-C3 development board, allowing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth control of the the FPGA by combining an Espressif ESP32C3HN4 SoC with a Lattice iCE40 FPGA. Compatible with MicroPython, Zephyr and more.
Help get this across the line and into the hands of its faithful backers.
Gone are the days of trawling through an abundance of varied search results and forum posts to find the answer you need or flipping to page 102 in your chunky, electrical engineering textbook. CheatKards are small, lightweight, with concise, accurate information and references for you to use whenever you need them.
Announcing the newest summer blockbuster: DJI Drones and high-end FLIR drone cameras have joined forces on the GroupGets store! The FLIR Vue and Zenmuse series give drone operators the power to gather accurate, non-contact measurements from an aerial perspective.
The PureThermal OpenMV, a design collaboration between GetLab (err, us) and OpenMV, a high-end mixed color and thermal camera for professional applications. We're proud to have it available to a wider audience on Digi-Key!
It was a no brainer to create a community channel on hackster.io for our newest initiative, GroupFund. Hackster will serve as an extension of the community, allowing for more eyes, more coverage and more fun to develop tech for good. Login or create your Hackster.io account and join the community!
To celebrate an upcoming new addition to the PureThermal family, and to reward you for reading the whole email, we are bundling the PureThermal Breakout Board with the FLIR Lepton FS for a limited time at just $99.
The Lepton FS balances performance and price, enabling thermal monitoring applications where radiometry is not required.
The PureThermal Breakout Board is an easy to interface evaluation board compatible with many low-cost ARM based evaluation boards.
Use this code to get a free PureThermal when you have a FLIR Lepton FS in your cart!
