Product Details
Product Description
The DIY-Thermocam is a do-it-yourself infrared camera kit targeted at the FLIR Lepton 3.0 160x120 LWIR camera core and the Teensy 3.6 ARM Cortex M4 MCU breakout. It also has recently updated software for the 80x60 *radiometric* Lepton 2.5. It takes excellent quality thermal images as shown in the gallery below. It was created by Max Ritter in Germany to be very hackable with its modular construction and open source software. We supported his early efforts to build the kit and now we are thrilled to have it on our site.
Check out the resolution difference between a Lepton 2.5 and Lepton 3.0 below - shot with DIY-Thermocam.

If you already have a Lepton and are looking for new uses for it, this is the perfect project but be ready to solder wires, install open source software, and perform mechanical assembly. If this sounds daunting, then maybe it's not the right fit for your skills at this time. We'll do our best to help though. There is no pre-assembly option at this time.
