Wave One is a low power IOT sub 1GHz sensor node, designed to operate for years on a small coin cell battery and solar power. The design is based around Texas Instrument's CC1310 wireless MCU capable of running a number of different RF protocols. It’s the size of a credit card with room to spare and has everything you would want to remotely measure temperature and humidity in large environments, where other RF technologies are inadequate. Examples are places like factories, the great outdoors, or any place that wifi and bluetooth just don't cut it. It’s capabilities are endless once you no longer have to rely completely on cellular network coverage.

  • 11 Configurable GPIO pins to add more to the Wave One sensor node.
  • Temperature and Humidity over I2C
  • Ambient Light measurements over I2C
  • Coin Cell battery - 2023 Coin Cell
  • DC Plug for Solar or other mW Energy Collector (2.1mm Inner, 2.5mm outer DC Jack).

  • RTOS used to run power management software to maximize battery life.

  • Due to the high cost of low volume manufacturing this is a great way to prototype with CC11310 designs, if you create a product that you want to mass produce with these the cost of these boards at scale drops to about ~$20.

  • Note that you will need more than one board to communicate with anything, so we recommend getting the CC1310 or CC1350 launchpad to both program and communicate with a single sensor for development.

A starter Kit is the combination of a CC1310 launchpad with a single Wave-One sensor node. This allows a user to connect to the launchpad and monitor sensor data.

The CC1310 device is a wireless MCU targeting low-power, long-range wireless applications. The CC1310 wireless MCU contains a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor that runs at 48 MHz as the main processor and a rich peripheral feature set that includes a unique ultra-low power sensor controller. This sensor controller is ideal for interfacing external sensors and for collecting analog and digital data autonomously while the rest of the system is in sleep mode.

We do not charge anyone until the Progress above hits 100% or greater, otherwise there is no charge.
