BaconBits
Qwerty Embedded Design, who brought us the LoFive and PocketBone, is back with BaconBits! BaconBits is a PocketBeagle mini-cape used as a teaching supplement for embedded Linux courses. It was created to provide hands-on teaching materials presented at various conferences via e-ale.org. The hardware and material are open source and we plan to host some workshops with Qwerty at the helm once the campaign closes. Don’t learn learn (or teach) embedded Linux on an impossibly sophisticated board. Start with BaconBits!
Elektor PinBall Clock
Coming right off the heels of a +200% funded GetSparked campaign for its Raspberry Pi I/O Buffer board, Elektor is back with the PinBall Clock board. Definitely watch the video and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, somebody make this the user interface for a time machine. Preferably like the one in “Dark” on Netflix, and then throw it up on GroupGets.
Reno InNevator Bootcamp
Now in its third year, the InNEVator Bootcamp for IoT focused startups is taking on a new cohort. The Germanium window is made to FLIR’s exact specifications. This is the brick “sh1thouse” of camera enclosures and you can help shape the direction that we take it in. We’re selling a limited number of pilot prototypes via a group buy now with the intent to get more feedback before we ramp production. We’re already getting great input from FLIR and other R&D leaders who've been beta-testing so now it’s your turn.
